Finley Is Truly An Inspiration To Many.

This week’s Trendy Tot is five-year-old Finley Smallwood – an Instagram star with Cerebral Palsy who loves dancing. Started by her mum, Christina, her IG account was a way of documenting Finley’s life while raising public awareness of Cerebral Palsy.

Finley was born with Spastic Diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy that is caused by brain and spinal injury. Christina and her husband had heard of a surgery (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) Surgery) and how it has been said to be life-changing for kids with Spastic CP.

In order to raise money for the surgery, her parents started the Dare to Dance Challenge where you have to dare your friends to dance within 24 hours – failing which, they would have to donate $20. She went for the surgery and things are a little easier for this sweet girl.

With about 117,000 followers on Instagram to date, her feed documents her life – the therapies, activities and things she loves to do. Finley is quite the fashionista too!

Finley is truly an inspiration to many especially when it comes to pushing boundaries. We can’t wait to see this little girl dancing on her own. In the meantime, let’s take a peek into her life through her insta-feed @fifiandmo.
