Eco-friendly Brazilian shoe label, Melissa gives its iconic plastic shoes a face-lift in their latest designer collaboration with New York’s downtown favourite fashion brand, BAJA EAST.

The hallmark aesthetics of BAJA EAST designers, Scott Studenberg and John Targon seamlessly unifies with Melissa, to produce bold, edgy footwear and accessories, designed to complement BAJA EAST’s collection of “loose luxury” – a fashion and lifestyle concept blending the duo’s native laid-back California cool with a city street edge.

The runway presentation showcased BAJA EAST’s collection of loose luxury, with Melissa footwear complementing the styles and looks worn by models, including American fashion model, Karlie Kloss.

True to Melissa’s over 35 years of innovation and high design, the MELISSA + BAJA EAST collaboration features innovative use of the brand’s key raw material: recyclable PVC – 100% cruelty-free.

The Melissa + BAJA EAST collection features four footwear styles – a flat slide, a flat sandal, a chunky high-heeled mule, and a closed-toe, lace-up ankle “Desert” boot, as well as a drawstring bucket bag. The collection will be available in metallic gold, powder pink, and black, accented by the addition of a plastic python-embossed texture.

Come 8 March, Melissa fans will be able to get their hands, or feet on the long-awaited designer collection available nationwide at all MDREAMS boutiques, selected retailers and online at mdreams.com.sg. Shoes are priced between $115 and $180.
